NICE LA BELLE walking tour

Our tour will lead us to discover the history that made the city so unique that it became an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021. The city is a melting pot of diverse cultures that have coexisted here. For a long time it was under Italian domination, as can be seen from the influence in its cuisine, fashion and architecture. It was a famous residence of the British aristocracy, as the Promenade des Anglais reminds us, and it was long envied by the Russians, so much so that Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, inspired by the flower parade he had seen in Nice, wanted to create a similar one in St. Petersburg. We’ll stroll through the narrow streets surrounded by vibrant colors, delicious food, and enchanting aromas, up to the top of Castle Hill, where the splendid view of the city will leave you breathless. Once you’ve admired these views, you’ll understand why so many artists, including Matisse, Chagall, Nietzsche, Dumas, and many others, chose this area to create their most beautiful and famous masterpieces. The city is home to France’s third-largest airport and boasts the highest concentration of hotels and museums per square meter. Nice is the perfect place to satisfy every need and whim.
